ILN Foreign Language Program

Language is a gift from God to communicate the Truth about His plan and purpose for each life that He created.  With this in mind, we believe that regardless of age or perceived academic ability, language acquisition is attainable for those motivated to communicate with others.  International Language Navigators offers a foreign language program that focuses on articulatory phonetics, foreign language acquisition, and cultural awareness and adaptation.

ILN’s foreign language courses will train students to be language learners.  We believe that meaningful communication is key to acquisition and that even those on beginning levels can interact in the target language.  Our courses will focus on all components of language including listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and culture.

Students will practice articulating sounds in the foreign language they are acquiring.  Articulatory Phonetics is an important language acquisition key which will allow students to be understood by a native speaker.

Because culture and language are inseparable and knowing that a person’s reaction to these elements can hinder or enhance their ability to acquire a language, students will learn to be aware of cultural differences, and discuss appropriate adaptation skills.
