Hundreds of visitors from Powell and the greater Knoxville area came by the campus of Crown College to visit our second annual car show to see over 50 show cars on display inside the Great Hall. The Crown School of Trades and Technology sponsored this great event. We want to extend a special thank you to the many show car owners for bringing their cars and spending the day with us.
A wide variety of cars were on display this year: cars from the early 1900’s, and early 2000’s, bringing back lots of memories of days gone by. We even had several new cars from Ted Russell dealerships. Some crowd favorites were the 1956 Corvette, 1922 Ford T Bucket and a 1957 Pontiac Chieftain. Trophies were awarded to the “Best of Show” in each class and a “Presidents Choice” trophy was given by Dr. Sexton. The Auto/Diesel students from the trade school also awarded a trophy to their favorite car.
Families and individuals came throughout the day enjoying the cars, trucks, heavy equipment from Stowers Cat, as well as the bounce houses in the parking lot. There was fun and food for the whole family. Many individuals walked away with very nice door prizes donated by dozens of businesses in the Knoxville and Powell area. Mark your calendar and plan to join us next year. For more information about the Crown School of Trades and Technology, visit us at TheCrownCollege.com or on our Facebook page.
