BqlNRxoCIAAGK3EThe Signature Pastors’ College ended last week with pastors from all over the United States coming to the Crown campus for a week of fellowship and refreshment from the Lord. A spirit of unity and blessing permeated every session. Perhaps the best description of the week is found in Psalm 133:1, where the psalmist penned, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”  The Spirit of God ministered among us, and pastors testified to the encouragement, strength, wisdom, and revival that God sparked in their hearts.

Monday evening started with a time of prayer as pastors joined the Monday Night Prayer Meeting held each week at the Temple Baptist Church. This was followed with an evening meal, and the opening session entitled “Speaking the Truth in Love.”  This was a wonderful session as Pastor Sexton expressed that the Word of God should be proclaimed with conviction and God’s love filling and overflowing our hearts.

Each day started with a mouthwatering southern-style buffet breakfast. Then, Pastor Sexton opened up the Word of God where we ate of the meat and honey of God’s Word. After the morning sessions ended, lunch was served,BqhnE9FCcAAM6TD.jpg large and then we returned to the Scriptures for two more sessions and a break for fellowship before dinner and the final evening meeting. It was a week filled with Holy Spirit anointed Bible teaching and preaching as God used Pastor Sexton in a special way.

Tuesday afternoon and evening were highlighted with a time of fellowship where pastors chose either to go golfing or fishing and everyone met for a fun-filled evening at Mount Moriah Christian Camp.  This was a sight to be seen as pastors zoomed down the zip line that stretches over 900 feet.

Wednesday evening was very special as Mark McElreath, a graduate of Crown College, was ordained into the gospel ministry. The last session earlier that day was on “The Ordination of Young Preachers.” Please pray for the McElreath family as they follow God’s leading in their lives to serve as missionaries in the country of Ethiopia.

The Signature Pastor’s College came to a close Friday just before lunchtime. 1973202_735825289794521_845831868133698333_oPastors shared how God had ministered to them throughout the week. The hunger for God’s Word of the pastor’s attending brought to mind the prophet Jeremiah when he proclaimed, “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts” (Jeremiah 15:16).

Full sessions from the Signature Pastors’ College will soon be available online on the Crown College Media channel on YouTube.
